Was drinsteckt
Inselwetter braucht keinen App Store.
- inselwetter.com in Safari öffnen.

About Inselwetter
Inselwetter shows the weather not as a column of numbers but as a small, living 3D world. When the sun is out, the water sparkles. When it rains, clouds drift over the rooftops. At night the lights come on, the moon shows its real phase, and in winter there's snow.
A world for every place
Depending on the location, the app picks a matching scene automatically: the island or the fishing harbour on the coast, the city for large towns, the mountain village at altitude and the model-railway landscape for everything in between. During Advent the Christmas village moves in. The wizard village and the elven valley can be picked by hand. In the settings you can change scene, time of day, weather and season freely.
What's inside
- Current weather and 7-day forecast, hourly with temperature, wind and rain
- Rain countdown for the next two hours
- Official severe-weather warnings from the German Weather Service (for places in Germany)
- UV index, air quality and pollen
- Sunrise, sunset and moon phase
- Time-lapse over 48 hours or 7 days
- Halloween, New Year's Eve and Easter transform the scenes
- Share the scene as an image
Tip: tap things in the scene – windmill, lighthouse, sheep, cows, trains, carousel and much more react. Turn on “Sound” at the bottom right for the matching ambience.
Use it like an app on your iPhone
No App Store needed. Inselwetter works best from your Home Screen – it then opens full-screen without the address bar, just like a real app:
- Open inselwetter.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow; depending on your iOS version via the “…” menu).
- Choose “Add to Home Screen” and confirm with “Add”.
From now on the island icon on your Home Screen opens the app directly. Your last place and settings are remembered. For your current location, tap the location icon once and allow access.
Android: in Chrome open the menu (⋮) and choose “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.
